"I’ve been working with Annie since the beginning of the year after moving to a new city. I was going out to eat quite frequently and I was not as active as usual. I am a pretty avid hiker/backpacker and I started realizing that I was struggling while hiking more than I ever have. My clothes started to feel tighter and I just didn’t feel like myself. Since beginning my training with Annie, I could not be happier with the results so far. I still have a little ways to go, but I’m already halfway to my goal. I am not a runner, so I’ve been doing her nutrition and workout programs. The workouts are always less than an hour and have been really effective. I also love how she always says, “All food is good food.” I’ve tried a few different diets before, not realizing that they were fad diets and they just weren’t effective or sustainable. I always gave up on them after a few weeks. With Annie’s nutrition program, there aren’t really any restrictions, just doing your best to keep everything in moderation. I’ve learned so much from Annie about what my body needs and how to eat correctly. She is also extremely encouraging and has never made me feel bad for missing a workout or not hitting my nutrition goals for the day. "Annie's training and fitness program has helped me tremendously. From being a D1 college runner to not running post graduation due to burn out and loss of love for the sport, Annie has helped change my mindset and helped me regain my love for the sport of running again. She has helped me do this in the healthiest way by doing what is best for my body. Not once have I ever thought "I HAVE to do this" with Annie's training. I now have the mindset and excitement to get out the door and tell myself "I GET to do this".

With finding my love again I have found a passion for competing in road races and Annie has been the best support system throughout all of my goals! She talks through my races, helps conduct race plans, and provides me with tips that I had not thought about before, during, and after the race.

If you are considering working with Annie I would 10000% work with her. The amount of appreciation that I have for her helping me get back on track with my fitness is unmatched. "I am a 60 year old female who has struggled with weight gain for thirty years.  I have tried every "diet" out there and they all worked.  For a little while.  None of them helped me sustain the weight loss, even a hospital program that I completed promising "life changes in eating".  About a year ago I hit a new high on the scale.  In a panic I called my daughter, Annie, and asked for help.  She put together a plan for me that was very simple but effective.  Best of all I did not have to buy special food or join a gym.  The meals she recommended I made in my kitchen and the exercise she wanted me to do I was able to complete at home. When I hit a plateau, she adjusted what we were doing and I started to lose again.  In the past year I have lost 32 pounds without feeling hungry, deprived or frustrated.  What Annie does is not a diet.  It is a change in thinking that makes sense and works.  I am within 10 pounds of my goal weight and I feel great.  Now that she has her NASM certification she knows even more about the body.  Two days ago I felt a pop behind my knee and could not walk.  I called her and she told me what to do.  I listened and was able to walk without pain later that day.  I am so very proud of her for wanting to help people become healthy and realize their goals." -Susan N (Nov 2018)

"Growing up I never had any issue with weight gain. I was an active and very fit girl from dancing 7 days a week from the age of 3, cheering throughout high school and making sure I looked my best fit-self when I would compete in swimsuit for pageants, however when my Father passed away in January 2016 I sat into a deep depression and used food as my coping mechanism. I no longer cared and that took a toll on me physically and mentally. I went from a very thin young adult with insecurities of eating too much-too now eating out of control or not enough some day- it put my body on a roller coaster and it couldn't keep up. I had gained 40lbs from when my Dad passed in about a year. My body was in shock. I got engaged in December 2016 and knew that I needed to do something. I tried dieting here and there but I never really stuck. When it became a few months out from my wedding date (September 2018) I reached out to Annie because I figured she may have another way of helping me. My goal was to feel and look my best on my wedding day and potentially lose 20lbs. Annie knew the struggle that I had faced growing up about weight insecurities and never feeling skinny enough, weighing myself 3+ times a day, skipping meals, staring at myself in the mirror, etc. The daily coaching and checking up on me was probably my favorite aspect about this process. The constant reminders of my goal, positive reinforcement is what really helped me and kept me going. I am happy that I lost the 20lbs before my wedding in just about 2 months in a healthy way! "A little over a year ago I made the decision to join the army. I had one obstacle in my way. I was far too out of shape to go to basic training. My recruiters told me I needed to lose some weight and get better at running if I wanted to survive there. I had a clear goal in mind, and I knew exactly who to talk to. Annie is a friend of mine and I reached out to her to see if she could help. Annie was honest with me. She said it wasn’t going to be easy. I had about 3 months to get into the best shape I have ever been. I was worried it couldn’t be done, but Annie knew exactly how to make it happen. To start, Annie tested me with long runs, sprints, and some high intensity intervals to gauge my current fitness level. From there she helped me work on my diet habits to shed the pounds fast. The workouts became more and more difficult and before I knew it I was doing things I had never done before week after week. It was grueling, but Annie kept me motivated and helped me power through the whole way. I lost enough weight to meet the army requirements and got a perfect score on my run at basic. To this day I still get compliments for being able to run so well at my size (225 lbs). If Annie can get me running like I do now, there’s no doubt she can help anyone. Thank you Annie. "I've always been a "healthy" weight for my age and height, but throughout my life I've struggled to have a healthy relationship with food and exercise. For so long diet and physical activity were a way for me to manipulate how my body looked, with little concern for how those habits were affecting my actual health and well-being. When I changed my major to Public Health my senior year of college, I developed a passion for good health - physical, mental, emotional - ,and I grew a desire to eat well and exercise to improve my quality of life, not just to stay a size 2. But for years I have struggled to make exercise a regular part of my routine, because I've been so intimidated by the gym. I didn't feel confident enough to develop routines. I was embarrassed that I'd do exercises the wrong way. I was fearful of getting too "bulky" - which is a complete myth. I would still be on the couch making excuses if it weren't for Annie. She has taken my anxiety surrounding exercise away completely! From the beginning she worked with me to make sure the plans she developed would help me achieve my goals - to become stronger and improve my overall health. She tells me exactly what to do each month, sends videos and answers questions when I'm confused, and is super encouraging. I've been following Annie's plans since September, and I can tangibly see the benefits. I can carry heavier objects at my job as a waitress. I can get off the floor while holding the babies that I nanny without pulling up on anything, which seems silly but shows me that those squats are strengthening my legs! Annie's workouts are making me feel great, making performing daily life functions easier, and making my body look better - which doesn't hurt.
